Driver’s Age

The minimum driver’s age is 18 years and the maximum driver’s age is 75 years. For vans, the permitted driver’s age is between 25 and 75 years.

A young driver surcharge of EUR 5 per day, up to a maximum one-time charge of EUR 40 per rental, will apply for drivers aged between 18 and 21 years.

A senior driver surcharge of EUR 5 per day, up to a maximum one-time charge of EUR 40 per rental, will apply for drivers aged between 66 and 75 years.

Driver’s License

The driver must hold a valid driving license for at least 1 year, with no major endorsements. A valid ID card or passport will also be required at the time of pick-up.

An International Driving License (IDL) is required if the renter’s national driving license is not written in the Roman / English alphabet. The international driving license must be accompanied by the driver’s original domestic license.

The following documents must be presented at the time of vehicle pick-up: driving license, passport, and a credit or debit card in the main driver’s name.

Insurance Coverage

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

CDW is included in your rental amount. It reduces the customer’s financial responsibility for damage to the excess/deductible amount.

The CDW excess amount depends on the vehicle group:

• The maximum excess amount for mini vehicle groups is EUR 1,200.
• The maximum excess amount for economy 2/4-door vehicle groups is EUR 2,000.
• The maximum excess amount for economy 4-5-door vehicle groups is EUR 2,500.
• The maximum excess amount for compact and premium vehicle groups is EUR 3,000.
• The maximum excess amount for intermediate vehicle groups is EUR 3,500.
• The maximum excess amount for standard Van groups with unspecified fuel / combustion engine and air conditioning is EUR 4,000.
• The maximum excess amount for fullsize and standard Van diesel groups with air conditioning is EUR 4,500.

Theft Waiver (THW)

THW is included in your rental amount. It reduces the customer’s financial responsibility for loss or theft of the vehicle to the deductible amount.

The THW excess amount depends on the vehicle group:

• The maximum excess amount for mini and compact 4-5-door manual vehicle groups is EUR 3,500.
• The maximum excess amount for economy 2/4-door vehicle groups is EUR 3,800.
• The maximum excess amount for economy 4-5-door and compact 4-5-door automatic vehicle groups is EUR 4,000.
• The maximum excess amount for premium vehicle groups is EUR 4,500.
• The maximum excess amount for compact Wagon groups is EUR 5,500.
• The maximum excess amount for intermediate vehicle groups is EUR 6,000.
• The maximum excess amount for standard Van groups with unspecified fuel / combustion engine and air conditioning is EUR 6,500.
• The maximum excess amount for fullsize and standard Van diesel groups with air conditioning is EUR 8,500.

Third Party Liability Insurance (TPL)

TPL is included in your rental amount.

The insurance coverage for the rented vehicle includes Third Party Liability, with limited coverage of EUR 15,000 for injury and EUR 25,000 in case of death.

Please note:

1. In case of accident, damage or theft, a police report is mandatory. Without a police report, the insurance is not valid. The customer must immediately inform the rental desk about the incident.
2. To qualify for coverage, the renter must provide the vehicle keys and documents to the rental company. Otherwise, the insurance will be invalidated and the renter will be liable for the full amount due to the loss of the vehicle. In the event of vehicle damage related to theft, the insurance does not cover the renter.
3. Any damage caused by driver negligence or by driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol or any other controlled substances is not covered by insurance.

Excess reduction option is not available.

Fees

The airport fee is included in the rental amount.

Other Fees

1. The customer is responsible for traffic fines. If the fine is paid by the rental desk, the fine amount plus an EUR 18 administration fee and commission will be applied.
2. If the vehicle keys are lost or damaged, a minimum fee of EUR 350 will apply, depending on the vehicle group.
3. If the vehicle documents are lost or damaged, a penalty fee of EUR 450 will apply.
4. If the license plate is lost or damaged, a penalty fee of EUR 450 will apply.
5. A cleaning fee of EUR 15 will be charged if the vehicle is returned dirty.

Early Returns / Unused Rental Days

No refunds, either partial or full, will be given for rentals ended early, ancillary items purchased, late collections, no-shows or cancellations made after the rental start date.

Roadside Assistance

Roadside assistance is available for an additional charge of EUR 5 per day. Relevant contact details and roadside assistance procedures will be provided before the start of the rental.

Fuel Policy

The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as supplied at the time of pick-up. If fuel is missing, the missing fuel will be charged at cost value, in addition to a refueling charge upon return. Unused fuel is not refundable.

Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk unless otherwise stated. Supplier fuel policies may change from time to time; please confirm the policy at the rental counter.

Mileage

Unlimited.

Cross-Border Travel

Cross-border travel is allowed.

Travel to Montenegro, Kosovo and Macedonia is allowed for an additional one-time fee of EUR 60.

If visiting more than one of these countries, the fee is EUR 90 as a one-time charge.

Travel to countries other than Montenegro, Kosovo and Macedonia is not permitted.

Ferry Travel

Ferry travel is allowed only for small cars and with no additional charge.

Mercedes Vito or similar, VW Touran or similar, and Ford Transit or similar are not allowed for ferry travel.

One-Way Rentals

One-way rentals are available and additional charges will apply. Please check at the rental desk for more information.

VAT

VAT is included in the rental price. However, VAT will be charged separately for optional extras, special equipment or additional services.

Payment Methods and Deposit

Only MasterCard, AMEX and Visa credit cards are accepted. The credit card must be in the main driver’s name only.

Debit cards: only AMEX, Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

The credit or debit card must be valid for 12 months after the drop-off date.

Cash, Post cards and prepaid cards are also accepted.

The following payment method is not accepted:

• Maestro

Deposit

Only MasterCard, AMEX and Visa credit cards are accepted.

Debit cards: only Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

A refundable deposit ranging from EUR 100 to EUR 200, depending on the vehicle group, will be held on the credit card until the car is returned.

Delivery and Collection

Delivery and collection services are available only on request and subject to availability.

A charge depending on the time and location of the pick-up or vehicle delivery will be applied.

Out of Hours

Out-of-hours service is available for an additional charge ranging from EUR 25 to EUR 80 per service.

Extras

Confirmation of special equipment depends on availability at the rental desk.
